Owner and Head Trainer - Kelly Smith:
 
With over 15 years professional experience in the horse business, Kelly Smith presents a strong background and outstanding credentials.
 
As a professional horsewoman, Kelly's experience is well rounded and includes training, coaching and showing at every level, from Futurity Hunter Champions to the Grand Prix Ring.  Some of Kelly's career highlights include being named the 2001 World Champion Hunter Rider and winning the 2002 Legacy Cup Championship. 
 
Kelly believes that a strong foundation with an emphasis on solid equitation and overall quality horsemanship directly relates to success in any equestrian discipline.  Kelly has proven the success of her program time and again with numerous Medal Finalists, USEF and Regional Association Year-End Champions and Horse of the Year Awards.

Trainer - Casey Franklin
 
Casey is a native to Portland, Oregon and began riding show jumping horses around age 6. Some of her early riding days began at Lake Oswego Hunt Club before she was brought along by several of the todays leading show barns in the area. Casey has competed successfully throughout the west coast earning numerous championships in hunters, jumpers and equitation. As a junior rider Casey was the 1991 Zone 9 Hunter Seat Equation Champion and third in the Pacific Northwest Equitation Finals.  Following her Junior riding years Casey went on to college - attending Stephen’s College in Columbia, Mo. studying Communication and Marketing. In 1996  Casey graduated from Oregon State University. From 2001 -2004 she managed a large Hunter/Jumper riding program and started her own successful training business – North 40 Show Jumping. It is here that she discovered that teaching and helping kids and adults accomplish their riding goals, is truly one of life’s most rewarding experiences. Casey’s professional history within corporate America includes working with dynamic marketing and advertising teams for companies such as: Maybelline, Inc., WebTrends, USA TODAY and McDonald’s.
 
Assistant-Antonio Castellanos
 
Creekside Show Stable is proud to have Antonio Castellanos as our assistant.  A native of Mexico, Antonio has competed successfully throughout his career.  Antonio has represented his country on the young riders tour and at numerous national competitions.  The son of a well respected horseman, Antonio is an incredible asset in the saddle as well as in the barn.  Welcome Antonio! 
 
 
Barn Manager-Kristi Ostroff
 
We couldn'tbe more thankful to have Kristi on our team. Kristi handles everything at the barn from our customized supplementation program and turnouts to teaching.  Kristi is a lifelong horsewoman with an incredible knack for developing young horses.  Kristi is also a gifted instructor and we are so lucky to have her at home shen Creekside Show Stable is on the road.

Kelly Smith and Casey Franklin operate their training program at the historic Lake Oswego Hunt in the heart of Lake Oswego, Oregon.
 
The facility offers numerous beautifully maintained arenas, as well as a grass jumping field, riding trails and a track.  The facility also offers traditional as well as oversized box stalls and ample all weather turnouts.  In addition there are well lit grooming areas, well appointed heated tackrooms, restrooms and viewing area and a convenient laundry facility.
 
Lake Oswego Hunt provides an individualized equine nutrition program that includes the highest quality feed and supplemental care.
 
Lake Oswego Hunt and Creekside Show Stable work closely with industry leading veterinarians, farriers and equine health specialists to ensure that each horse is monitored for peak performance, health, soundness and happiness.
